Waiting tables is the most energetic profession according to study

According to a new Australian study, waiting tables is the most energetic profession out there.

Stylist magazine has revealed that the study found that staff within the hospitality sector take double the daily recommended number of steps in any working day.

In order to conduct the study, employees from different work sectors were given pedometers by weight-loss company Jenny Craig to track their exercise on an average work day.

The study found that nurses came second on the list racking up a daily average of 16,390 steps compared to the waiters’ at an astounding 22,778 per day.

The sectors that had the least steps per day were call centre employees and office workers.
