The Future Certainly Looks Bright For Small Kiwi Businesses

According to the latest Business Micro Scape report by ANZ New Zealand, small New Zealand businesses are expected to significantly expand this year. According to the report, many small kiwi businesses are looking to hire more staff and aim to increase investment.

These new statistics certainly look positive with 30% of small businesses claiming to be optimistic about their prospects in the first quarter of this year.

In the study 250 businesses were surveyed. 5% of these businesses said they would be hiring more people, and 11% expected to increase investment this year.

The ANZ managing director of business banking, Fred Ohlsson said:

"It's encouraging to hear small businesses telling us they are upbeat about profitability, and expect to invest and take on more staff. This reflects a broader confidence about their prospects. Though tempered with concerns about turnover, this cautious optimism bodes well for the wider economy."
